Mendelsohn
- Exec Producer / Co Creator
Carol Mendelsohn comes to “CSI” from a rich and varied background in
television. Starting out as a freelancer, she wrote for “Midnight
Caller,” “Heartbeat,” and “Fame,” with one of her “Fame” episodes
receiving an NAACP Image Award nomination.
From there, Mendelsohn wrote as a co-producer for the series “Tour of
Duty,” produced “Gabriel’s Fire,” and worked as the supervising producer
on “Crossroads” and “The Trials of Rosie O’Neill.” Most recently,
Mendelsohn served as executive producer on the popular and long-running
series “Melrose Place.” “CSI” continues to be guided by Mendelsohn.
Mendelsohn and co-creator Ann Donahue (the show runner on “CSI: Miami”),
are among a mere handful of women currently running one-hour dramas.
Mendelsohn also serves as creator and executive producer on “CSI:
Miami.”
Mendelsohn received a JD from the National Law Center at George
Washington University in Washington D.C.
