CSI:New YorkSeason 2 - Episode 14 - Stuck on You
Written by Eli Talbert and Timothy J. Lea
Stella is finally enjoying a night out with her date, Frankie, attending
an art show of digital mosaics held in the loft home of one of New
York’s hottest and richest playboys. But her evening is cut short when
her host and his latest lover are skewered like a human shish-ka-bob by
a most unusual weapon: a carbon shafted arrow, killing the lover and
wounding the host. Stella’s date now over, Mac and Hawkes join the party
to discover what type of hunter uses a bow and arrow to take down their
target. Since the victim is a legendary philanderer, and there’s no lack
of females scorned in his life. Our CSIs have to track back through all
of his broken hearts, broken promises and a not so “little black book”
swollen with suspects. The digital mosaics from the art show provide a
hidden clue when Stella decodes the pixels to reveal that the abstract
subjects are in fact the playboy’s last three conquests -- including the
woman who was found skewered to. And the science of vapor detection,
directs our CSIs to a startling conclusion: this bachelor was wounded
with his own bow and arrow. Most likely by someone at his own private
art opening. Which begs the question: how could someone steal a bow and
arrow and shoot the host at his own party without anybody knowing? To
find the answer, our CSIs break down the aerodynamics of arrow flight,
understanding the physics that proves this shot was not one in a
million, but borne of a very specific hatred all too murderous when it
was finally allowed to let fly. |
