CSI:New YorkSeason 3 - Episode 13 - Obsession
Written by Jeremy Littman
The murder mystery begins when a group of young boys accidentally throw
their football through the window of a brownstone. When recovering the
ball, one of the boys finds a man dead in a pool of blood. Telling the
cops of their discovery, Mac and Stella rush to the scene of the crime
and determine that the man bled to death from a single stab wound in his
chest. Mac and Stella find rope and duct tape in the vacant apartment
suggesting kidnapping could be a motive. Back at the lab, Lindsay
confirms that there are lipstick marks on the duct tape. Blood found in
the home is from another male and brunette hairs are also recovered.
Adam tells Stella that blood found in the apartment is tied to ex-con
Artemis Hunt. Artemis says he was doing a fix-it job a month ago for a
property management company in the brownstone. Meanwhile, Stella ties a
car parked outside of the brownstone to an Alex Martin. Mac realizes
that their victim is Alex Martin, a real estate agent responsible for
selling the property. Martin’s secretary alludes to a love affair he
might be having. Horse traces in the trunk of the car lead Mac and
Stella to the stables in Central Park where they learn that an Elizabeth
Grayson could be their brunette. Liz states that Alex kidnapped her and
brought her to the apartment where he rapped her. Liz says that she
stabbed him and ran away. However, when Mac finds holes in Liz’s story
and realizes that she slept with two men during her “kidnapping” the
case is anything but closed. |
