CSI:New YorkSeason 3 - Episode 7 - Murder Sings the Blues
Written by Sam Humphrey
A young woman is found dead in a subway bleeding from every mucus
membrane in her body; however she has no external injuries. Hawkes and
Mac suspect chemical poisoning and spot a broken glow stick near the
victim. Peyton notes that the cause of death was multiple organ failure
as she found a crystalline trace on her leg. Hawkes states that the burn
damage to her esophageal lining suggests she drank something. The team
finds a flyer on the victim’s body. Mac questions a rave promoter and
flyer distributor who says he called 911 when he saw the victim’s body,
however fled the scene after that. Meanwhile, Lindsey notes that the
substance on the victim’s leg is a drug called secstasy and the person
that snorted it off her leg is James McQuinn, a known felon. Mac
realizes that the rave promoter and McQuinn used to work together. When
Mac interrogates McQuinn he notices a deep gouge on his hand. Lindsay
finds a glass shard with DMH on it which she states killed the victim.
She notes that a local trash artist uses this chemical all the time. The
trash artist confesses that he went to the rave parties to score trash
for his projects. Meanwhile, Lindsay finds a flask at the scene that has
the rave promoters prints on it along with McQuinn and the victim. The
liquid found in the flask contains DMH which the victim drank. Did
McQuinn and the rave promoter work together to plan the victim’s death
or was it only one of them? As the team tries to solve the case, Hawkes
is dismissed as information surfaces that he knew the victim. |
