CSI:New YorkSeason 3 - Episode 8 - Consequences
Written by Pam Veasey
Mayhem erupts in the city when a paintball player is shot to death in
what he thought was just a friendly game. When the team gets to the
scene, a large warehouse, they find a bullet in the hovering parade
balloon found inside the building. Guard Norman Baker alerted the CSIs
of the murder. Flack notes blood and black powder smeared on the side of
a crate next to the victim- Kym Tanaka. Stella interviews a crazy
neighbor who said she heard no noise, but is waiting for the aliens to
arrive. Danny and Stella realize that Kym and his arch nemesis Cyrus
Menlo were competing for a national sponsorship. Lindsay confirms that
the black powder is black cocaine. After a search, Lindsay tells Mac
that all fifty kilos of black cocaine were confiscated at the scene in a
raid six months ago and held in NYPD evidence; Flack oversaw the
officers. Flack tells Mac he found everything while at the scene and
that no drugs should be missing. Adam tells Danny that the rust traces
found at the scene were compiled of molasses and bear blood. He also
says that the trace contained Menlo’s blood. Stella finds an address for
a Daryn Kramer on the box she recovered from the scene. Kramer says he
flattened the box and put it by the dumpster. He says that a man bumped
into him and black substance was transferred to the box. Hawkes notes
that the bullet found in the balloon belongs to a police-issued gun.
Meanwhile, Adam states that a rock found at the scene is a moon rock
belonging to a Columbia researcher Trina Roubian; prints on the box
match her DNA. After receiving a picture, Danny remembers that Trina was
the crazy neighbor he interrogated earlier hiding under the alias of
Verne Welke. When they enter her home they find Cyrus held captive in
her bathroom. Verne kidnapped Cyrus because she thought he was an alien
as he had green paint on him from a recent game. With Cyrus rescued and
well, the team turns their attention to hunting down the dirty cop
responsible for Tanaka’s death. |
