Season Three of CSI: New York  In Season three, the audience gets a glimpse of the characters’ personal lives. The season opens with Mac engaged in a romantic relationship with the new coroner Dr. Peyton Driscoll (Claire Forlani). However, later in the season when Mac tries to keep their relationship a secret Peyton realizes that Mac may not be ready for a serious commitment. Mac also comes in contact with his deceased wife’s son. Trying to forge a friendship with him, Mac is disappointed when he realizes that the boy wants nothing to do with him.

While Lindsay Monroe and Danny Messer had chemistry, Lindsay’s past prevents her from moving forward with the relationship. When processing a case in which a young girl is murdered, Lindsay abruptly leaves the scene and admits to Stella that years ago her friends were murdered and she was spared. This secret has affected her work and personal relationships. When an opportunity arises for her to testify against her friends’ murderers she takes it and returns to Montana for a few weeks.

Hawkes endures a tough season when he suffers the consequences of a professional decision he made years ago when he put a psychopath’s brother behind bars for murder. The psychopath Shane Casey (Edward Furlong) returns and frames Hawkes for murder. When Shane reaches out to Danny who also has brotherly problems, he realizes that his brother was guilty; a shocking discovery that leads Shane to disarm.

Eddie also experiences his fair share of conflict when he realizes that one of his men is a dirty cop. Stella continues to heal from her near-death experience with ex-boyfriend Frankie Mala at the end of season two. However, when processing a scene she cuts her hand on a piece of glass only to later realize that she the man who died there had AIDS. Worried about her wellbeing, Stella has to wait months to figure out whether or not she has the disease.

Episode 1: People with Money

When two bungee jumpers witness a death on the Brooklyn Bridge, Mac and his new love interest Peyton Driscoll are called in to investigate. In Manhattan, the team finds a murdered young heiress whose causality is tied to cockfighting.

Episode 2: Not What it Looks Like

When a trio of Holly Golightly look-alikes rob a jewelry store, the detectives find themselves questioning the girls’ involvement in the dangerous world of blood diamonds. Meanwhile, a female corpse is found mummified in a condemned apartment complex. Could her councilman husband be to blame?

Episode 3: Love Run Cold

Danny and Lindsay investigate the death of a vodka spokeswoman dressed as an ice queen, and murdered with her scepter at a promotional event. Mac and Stella take to the streets where they find a marathon runner murdered on the track with what appears to be carbon monoxide.

Episode 4: Hung Out to Dry

A serial murderer who leaves his victims in coded t-shirts is on the loose. The team struggles to decode his mythological clues and put their main suspect behind bars.

Episode 5: Oedipus Hex

Danny and Lindsay explore the worlds of goth and glam when a young girl that belongs to the underground “suicide girls” cult is found dead after a blood-bath concert. Across town, Mac and Stella investigate the death of a homeless man who was known as a basketball legend on the court. Flack searches for Shane Casey after his escape from the police vehicle.

Episode 6: Open and Shut

A young hotel employee falls to her death from a hotel rooftop after she becomes embroiled in a deal with a scheming top model. Meanwhile, Stella investigates a self defense case where a woman shoots her husband’s business associate and possible murderer in her apartment.

Episode 7: Murder Sings the Blues

When a young woman dressed from head to toe in blue is found dead in a subway after a rowdy rave party, Mac is summoned from a night at the opera to a bloody crime scene. Across town, a famous bachelor is found dead in his swim gym.

Episode 8: Consequences

When a paintball player is found shot to death, Flack realizes that a dirty cop under his supervision could be to blame.
Mac comes face to face with his deceased wife’s son; a young man he never got the chance to know.

Episode 9: And Here’s To You, Mrs. Azrael

After a night of heavy partying two underage girls make the reckless decision to drive home. In route, the girls get into an accident and one on them dies instantaneously. The other is sent to the hospital where she is smothered to death. The team unravels the sordid case and arrives at a shocking discovery.

Episode 10: Sweet 16

Mac and Flack investigate the death of parachute professional whose chute was pelted with dead pigeons causing him to swerve out of control and plummet to the ground. Across town the master of pigeon racing is found murdered amongst the coops. Meanwhile, Stella and Lindsey find a rich family man dead behind the wheel of a Mercedes, which happens to be his daughter’s sweet sixteenth gift.

Episode 11:Raising Shane

When Hawkes is framed for shooting a bartender and then later sent to prison, the team takes to the street to set their investigator free. A surprise visit from Shane Casey later explains the death of a man at a peep show and Hawkes’ compromising situation.

Episode 12: Silent Night

Mac and Stella work with a deaf family to find the killer behind their daughter’s death. Meanwhile, the team investigates the murder of a young skating sensation. Petrified by the case, Lindsey tells Stella of her painful past.

Episode 13: Obsession

When a rich real estate agent is found dead in a brownstone, Mac and Stella work with evidence that suggests he was either a kidnapper or kidnapee. Across town, Danny and Hawkes become immersed in the popular sport of grocery cart races where a player becomes a victim.

Episode 14: The Lying Game

Stella and Flack investigate the death of a drag queen found in a hotel bathroom. Meanwhile, Danny and Mac find a corpse in a salt truck which is later identified as a high-powered extreme sports executive.

Anna leaves the team for a short break to testify in court for a case involving the murders she witnessed.

Episode 15: Some Buried Bones

When a college student is found dead in a maze at the Queen’s county farm museum, Mac and Flack discover a cult-like underground fraternity that practices harsh punishments. Meanwhile, Stella and Danny investigate a case in which a personal shoplifter is suspected for murder.

Episode 16: Heart of Glass

Mac and Danny investigate the death of a woman found dead in a bathtub filled to the brim with rose petals. Meanwhile, Stella questions the death of a young man who fell face first into his fish tank inside his penthouse apartment.

Episode 17: The Ride-In

Mac and Danny investigate a case in which a delusional ex-con, who is in the middle of building an arc because he fears the world is about to end, is found dead in his home lying on top of a bed of cash. Meanwhile, Stella and Flack find a male corpse dressed in a cigarette costume that appears to have burned to death.

After a severe allergic reaction, Stella administers CPR to Sid Hammerback and saves his life.

Episode 18: Sleight Out Of Hand

The team investigates a case in which a string or magic-trick inspired murders occur including a woman being cut in half while in a wooden box and a man being burnt to death. Mac and Stella try to tie popular magician Luke Blade to the crimes.

Meanwhile, Danny goes to Montana to support Lindsay when she testifies against her friends’ killer.

Episode 19: A Daze of Wine and Roaches

Mac and Stella face diplomatic road blocks while investigating the murder of a member of a young girl's entourage of professional handlers who was killed during a French Revolution-themed fundraiser at the U.N

Across town, Danny and Lindsay find popular chef Alec Green dead in the wine cellar of his trendy restaurant with a corkscrew dangling from his chest.

Episode 20: What Schemes May Come

A knight in shining armor impaled with a lance in central park and a business man stabbed by an ice pick in a nearby hotel share a connection.

A stolen body from the M.E. van leads the CSI’s into the shadowy world of genetic experimentation.

Episode 21: Past Imperfect

A serial killer, whose conviction rested on his confession to a cop, has his verdict overturned when Mac jails his arresting officer, but when a victim surfaces sporting the killer’s signature, Mac ignores direct orders and decides to go after him.

Episode 22: Cold Reveal

Stella is forced to deal with painful memories when Det. Valens visits the lab and says her DNA is connected to a Philadelphia cold case making her a suspect, and Mac’s career is put in jeopardy when an internal investigation is opened against him.

Episode 23: …Comes Around

The CSIs are puzzled when evidence and witnesses point to John McEnroe as their murder suspect despite his air-tight alibi, and as Mac’s investigation causes a political firestorm, the team worries he’ll be dismissed when they are asked to testify.

Episode 24: Snow Day

Following the largest drug seizure in city history, Mac, Stella and Hawkes are forced to save the labe when, in an elaborate heist, a drug lord and his crew descend upon the CSI’s vault to retrieve their merchandise and two CSIs are held hostage.
