as "Dr. Sid Hammerback"
An unidentified, disoriented and bleeding naked man wearing a strange
helmet and wrist cuffs runs through the streets of New York. He
collapses onto a hopscotch game, and eventually gets himself to the NYPD
bullpen where he comes across Det. Flack and Mac. Just before the man
gives way to death, he tells Mac that someone named Kevin Murray in the
Chelsea dorms will be killed at 9:45. Det. Flack rushes to find Kevin,
who is perfectly unharmed, showering in his dorm room. When Kevin sees
the victim, he says he doesn’t know him. Mac informs Kevin that the
victim said that Kevin would die the following day. Later, Mac and Dr.
Hawkes follow the trail of blood and find a shard of glass that was
stuck in the victim’s next and an arterial spray.
Meanwhile, Danny and Stella investigate the death of a college-age girl
in a coffee shop. The people at the shop said that she had an
inappropriate orgasm, and seemed to be unable to catch her breath, then
died. Danny finds some sort of powder on the chair across from the
victim, and assumes that someone was there with her. Witnesses verify
this. After performing an autopsy, Sid finds a large amount of a sexual
enhancement drug that is in its trial stages in her system.
The CSI team is able to track down the male victim’s address. From this
they identify him as Doctor Martin Browning, an award-winning scientist.
They also find a homemade time machine. From the computer in the
apartment Adam discovers an ad that Browning had posted looking for
people to help him with his time traveling experiments. The next day,
during a parade, Kevin’s body is thrown at 9:45, electrocuted, from
Browning’s apartment. When the CSI team goes to re-investigate the
scene, they find Browning’s book on time travel on the machine, it wet
with his blood.
Stella discovers that the coed’s inhaler was tampered with; her allergy
prescription was replaced with the sexual enhancer. After investigating
the students that ha access to the drug, the CSI team pinpoints a
sorority girl named Kelsey Coulter. She had replaced the inhaler to try
to help the victim, identified as Robin Graham, come out of her shell.
The murder was an accident.
From partial thumbprints on objects in Browning’s apartment, the CSI
team is able to identify Leo Tyler. Leo confesses to accidentally
killing both Browning and Kevin after they wouldn’t help him predict the
outcome of lottery drawings.
